Alma Matar Honours Ondo Lawmaker
Lawmaker representing Ondo East State Constituency and the Deputy Majority Leader of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olamide Oladiji has been honoured by his former secondary school, Saint Joseph’s College, Ondo.
Oladiji who is popularly known as Landmark was specially honoured by the 1980-1985 Set of the foremost secondary school for his life transforming roles in the educational sector and political landscape of Ondo State.
The President of 1980- 1985 Set, Dr. Solomoh Adeyeye lauded the exemplary roles of Oladiji whom he described as a shining light of the Set. Adeyeye added that he was not surprised that Hon. Oladiji has brought honour and attraction to their set because he had been manifesting traces of greatness during their days in Saint Joseph’s College,Ondo.
Before presenting the special award of recognition to Oladiji at the school auditorium, Dr. Adeyeye took time to extol his virtues as a symbol of hard work, diligence and honesty. He also enjoined all members of the ‘1985 Set’ to emulate Oladiji by doing the doing their alma mater proud.
Meanwhile, in his words of appreciation, Oladiji thanked all members of the ‘1985 Set’ for considering him worthy of the special recognition. “My joy knows no bound today being in the midst of my former classmates for a special recognition. I am grateful for the recognition accorded me and I assure that I will not rest on my oars to bring more honor to our alma mater”, said Oladiji.
