Abayomi Sheba Foundation Gives Palliative Support To Ondo State Residents
The foundation of Hon. Abayomi Sheba has donated cash gifts and food items to some vulnerable people in Akure and Irele Local Government Areas of Ondo State in a bid to cushion the hard effects of coronavirus pandemic on them.
The commencement of the palliative distribution began on Saturday, May 17, 2020 at Irele Local Government Secretariat where more than 350 people were given cash gifts #5,000 each with face masks. Also, the second phase of the palliative distribution was at the Ago Ireti and Motherless Home in Akure on Monday where assorted food items were distributed to hundreds of children and the needy at the centers.
In his response, Hon. Abayomi Sheba who is the founder of the foundation said the need to bring relief to the vulnerable people in Irele and to the motherless and lepers at Ago Ireti was what informed his gesture. He also added that the gesture has no political motive but was necessitated by his desire to give support to humanity.
While appreciating the gesture, dozens of people that received cash gifts and food items expressed their profound appreciation to Hon. Abayomi Sheba. The took turns to thank him for his thoughtful consideration that has made him to give succour to them at this time of economic hardship that is occasioned by coronavirus pandemic.
