The existence of ministries in government are not just meant to compliment the work of the government but also help the government make meaningful impact in the society.
The Ondo State Government under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN. since inception has made it one of its priorities to ensure that it offers the people of Ondo State a qualitative health care delivery and while it has continued to ensure the delivery of this promise, it has also ensured that no local government area in the state is left untouched.
The success recorded so far came to the fore when a patient in Arogbo, Ese Odo Local Government area of the State gave birth to triplets in the community facility without any complications.
While describing the ease at which the patient gave birth and the excellent health state of both the mother and the triplets, the nurse and the doctors who were not only proud of their work in facilitating the process appreciated the State government through the Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Board for creating a good working atmosphere for the medical facility to carry out such a seamless operation.
The delivery is a great plus to the medical facility in the local government area as it will help boost the confidence of the residents in using their own medical facilities without having to travel down to the state capital to seek medical care which could have been easily done by its medical facility.
Permanent Secretary of the board of the Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Board, Dr. Francis Akanbiemu, while commending the medical personnel in the hospital stated that the development lays more emphasis on what the state government has done so far in the health sector in the State.
According to him, the successful delivery of the triplet which is the first in the history of primary health care facilities in Ondo State shows that the capacity of the agency is high and that it won’t stop until it has ensure that its service delivery are ones which the people can only bank on irrespective of the medical situation.
Among the numerous contributions of the agency to ensuring a qualitative health care delivery are the employment of over 800 health workers between 2021 and early 2022; the vaccination of children from ages one to five years against life threatening diseases which could affect their life value among several others.
