The Northern Progressive Forum has backed Vice president Yemi Osinbajo for presidency come 2023, although the Vice president of the most populous black nation on earth is yet to declare his intention to contest the next presidential election in Nigeria, many stakeholders and other well meaning Nigerians have called for his candidacy.

According to the Spokesperson of the group, Alhaji Shehu Aminu while addressing newsmen in Kano, he stated that Professor Yemi Osinbajo is the right candidate to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023; he explained that the nation’s Vice president has shown that he has the much needed qualities to continue the good work of the incumbent president.

He further explained that Professor Yemi Osinbajo is a fine breed of new age politician with an excellent records, in his words,” Osinbajo is a true progressive, a disciplined politician with an impressive records; his candidacy for presidency will no doubt be well received by the majority”

He also applauded the Vice president for his immense contributions to the success of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration in Nigeria, according to him, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has added value to the office of the Vice President.

He said,” in the history of Nigeria as a sovereign entity, the office of the vice president has never been this actively productive, we must give credit to Professor Yemi Osinbajo for changing the narrative”

“If he can achieve this much as the Vice-president, we have no doubt that he will do much better as the President if given the chance” he added.

Also according to Dr. Kayode Ajulo who addressed newsmen in Abuja shortly after his trip to Jalingo, Taraba State, Youths in high numbers spoke well of the nation’s Vice President whom they described is the best choice for Nigeria in the year 2023.
