In his determination to curb insecurity in his Constituency and to avoid the security situation from spinning out of control, the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi has donated a brand new Motorcycle and a generator to the regional security network codenamed ‘Amotekun’ unit of Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, to enhance their performance in the area.
While presenting the items to the Amotekun team in Yewa North today, Sunday 16th May, 2021, the Ogun West Senator implores the team to rid the area of crime and provide the required security for the people in Yewaland.
The Senator who believes that security, governance and sustainable economic development are the tripod upon which a nation’s wellbeing and prosperity stand, has being one of the most outspoken Senators when it comes to his collaborative efforts in addressing issues of insecurity and kidnapping in his Constituency.
He also commended the Amotekun team for its renewed vigour in policing the SouthWest region and tackling security challenges.
Sen. Odebiyi also said that, the National Assembly will continue to work tirelessly with other security agencies to provide adequate security for the people of the country.
Amotekun was established in January 2020 to complement the efforts of the Nigeria Police and the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps in the South West region of the country.
