The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi has emphasized the importance of making quality laws and policies for the greater good of all Nigerians.
The Senator who is also the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) made this known at a One day Public hearing organised by the Senate Committee on FCT on the Bill to establish the Abuja Geographic Information System (AGIS) (Est) Bill, 2021 (SB.391) and the Bill to establish the Federal Capital Territory College of Nursing and Midwifery and other related matters, 2021 (SB. 571) at the National Assembly complex, today, 24th June, 2021.
Sen. Odebiyi while restating the commitment of the Nigerian 9th Senate to the development and overall wellbeing of all citizens of Nigeria, said, “I will be restating the obvious by saying the Bills we have come to consider today are Bills of importance to the Federal Capital Territory and in fact the country”.
Assuring the relevant stakeholders at the one day public hearing, the Ogun West Senator said, “The submissions received so far on the Bills for consideration today has been duly noted and the Senate Committee on FCT will continually push to make sure that your opinions and inputs are carefully collated and treated with utmost seriousness”.
The Senator who has also added immeasurable value to the legislative and democratic process in Nigeria, by sponsoring so many people oriented Bills, said that the Senate would not deviate from playing very important roles of making quality laws and policies for the greater good of all Nigerians.
In his address, the Chairman, Senate Committee on FCT, Sen. Abubakar Kyari said he is convinced beyond any doubt that the dream of providing and enhancing better life for the inhabitants of the FCT will be actualized when all relevant stakeholders work together as partners in progress.
