Ondo 2020: Ajulo weighing options, may make position known soon
Following intense pressure from political associates, friends and other stakeholders within and outside Ondo state, Triangle News has reliably gathered that legal luminary Dr Kayode Ajulo is weighing options and making consultations on the Ondo 2020 governorship election.
According to a reliable close to the human rights lawyer, Ajulo, in the last five years, has been inundated with calls from many concerned stakeholders urging him to take a shot at the governorship.
“He resisted the pressure in 2016, he also rebuffed calls to run for Senate in 2019, but I can tell you the pressure is becoming heightened by the day,” the source said.
“Ajulo is looking into it and may make his position known soon. If he decides to run, he will surely announce to the world.
“You will agree with me that he is eminently qualified and among all the aspirants jostling for the position, he seems to have the best credentials and exposure,” the source added.
Triangle also gathered that the Akoko-born legal practitioner has been making consultations and may announce his plans to run or not very soon.
