In Commemoration of a well spent Sacrificial Life of Their Beloved Mother; Late Alahja Abdulsalam Alada; (Iye Suraju ), a Foundation established in her remembrance has facilitated the donation of scholarship to undergraduate students while also paying for the JAMB fees of various students.
According to the family, “It clocks three (3) years our beloved mother and grandmother; Late Mrs (Hajiah) Abdulsalam (a.k.a Iye Suraju) left the earthly shore as a living legend who had contributed her best to the betterment of human race. This she did through her successful motherhood which is highly reflected by her living iconic Children and family she left behind.
“Following the glory exit of Mama, Mama had been yearly remembered by her children, family and public members & lovers for a life of sacrifice and impact she lived. As part of this year remembrance of a life well spent, the late Alhaja’s children decided to sponsor the registration of a number of indigent students do the JAMB examination and grant scholarship to numbers of undergraduate students.
“Earlier today, while meeting with the lucky beneficiaries/Students who were selected and presented by their respective schools management, at Victory College Ikare, Rt. Hon. Abdulsalam Taofik Olawale; who was recently nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment as a Member of Nigerian Code of Conduct Bureau and one of the great legacies (children) left behind by Late Alhaja Alada, addressed the congregation of the students that was graced with the presence of some dignitaries. He said the award of free jambs and scholarship is to mark three (3) years remembrance of the great and successful lifestyle of their late mother. This he said was on behalf of his siblings and the entire family of Alada. In his futher address, Abdulsalam admonished the Students on academic indolence and lack of discipline among them while he encouraged them to be serious with their studies and ensure they are more useful to their community in future. “You’re the future”, Hon. Abdulsalam encouraged the Students and wish them best of luck in their academic pursuits.”
