The Member of the House of Representatives representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on the 6th of May 2021 visited the Muslim community in his Federal Constituency in Iftar as they continue to observe the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was witnessed by the Olukare of Ikare land, HRH Oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh IV, Dr.Alh. Sheik Batuta, the Grand Mufti of Ondo State, Alh. Azeez Oluboyo former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, traditional and religious leaders.
Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who was represented by his mother, Madam Yinka Tunji-Ojo during the event appreciated the Muslim community for their ceaseless efforts in their advocacy for peace and development in the region and nation at large.
She also appreciated them for the wavering love and support which his son has over the years enjoyed from the community while also promising to ensure that Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo will continue to lead an all inclusive representation where the dividends of a good democratic system will be made available to all irrespective of their religious affiliation.
According to her, ” Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is a man of his words, what he says he will surely do and I can assure you that he will never renege on any of his promises to you all and every other Nigerians”
She also enjoined the Muslim faithfuls across the nation to continue to intensify their prayers for the restoration of peace and its sustenance in the nation.
Prayer items like the Holy Quran, Prayer Mats, Tesbir amongst many others were distributed to over 500 people who came to the event.
Others present at the event which held in Okeagbe was the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin and Chairman, Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, Engr. Adam Chandy.
