Ecomiums have continued to pour in as the Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable (Chief) Olamide Oladiji empowers market women in Ondo Kingdom.
Chief Oladiji in his usual style of putting smiles on faces of his constituents, this time, was out to stimulate and enhance their economic potentials in view of the pressing global economic challenges.
The market women in their turns eulogized Chief Oladiji for identifying with them always, especially in this hard time. They noted that they have not been disappointed since he was elected to represent them.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Bukola Alọ, appreciated Mr Speaker for his empowerment programs, education support to students, and support for the aged.
The highly elated market women who in their songs praised the Bamoye of Ondo Kingdom for his good deeds, pledged to continually offer him their support as occasions call for it.
In his response, Chief Oladiji pledged to continue to make himself available to his constituents in view of the maximum regards he has for them.
The Speaker noted that the token gift to the market women was meant to cushion the effects of the current global economic downturn and reposition them for economic breakthrough.
He admonished the beneficiaries to make Judicious use of the opportunity given to them by using the cash to boost their various businesses.
He pledged to reach out to his constituents from time to time as this is his own way of ploughing back to the people that made him.
Each of the beneficiaries, drawn from the nooks and crannies of Ondo Kingdom, went home with One hundred thousand naira, courtesy of the Speaker.
