Chief (Mrs) Tayo Oshinowo, Achiever Deserving National Honour

Not all men are equally born, the same way all men are not same gifted. It is true that some carry greater grace more than others. Yet the place of hardwork, purposeful pursuit and fervent for distinctions cannot be blurred in the stuggle for relevance in the market place called earth. And this probably explains the level of sheen that Tayo Oshinowo, a regal and reverred woman of huge substance has found an eduring place on the galaxies.
Hails from Kogi State, Mrs Oshinowo who was born 9th July, 1962, has made enduring impacts on humanity and contributed quite significantly to nation building in various capacities. Her legacies in business, philantrophy and humanitarian endeavours continue to speak for the accomplished wife and mother who with her strenght and resources daily pursues a better Nigeria.
A very well trained, travelled and touched citizen, Oshinowo was trained at Oxford royal Academy, UK, where she earned Advanced Diploma In International Business; London School of Executive Education, UK, (Diploma in Business); and the prestigious Lagos Anglican Girls Grammar School, where she had her Senior Secondary certificate Examination.
Mrs. Oshinowo is the President and Founder of Tayo Oshinowo Foundation, a Non-Governmental organization that is involved in humanitarian activities that include : Advocacy for the widows and motherless children; Active humanitarian activities; Responsible for the payment school fees and medical bills of orphans and less privileged citizens; Payment of school fees of indigents but brilliant students.The foundation is also into: Provision of financial and material supports to prisoners ; Sponsoring of weddings for less privilege couples; and also payment of medical bills of economically disadvantaged patients.
Oshinowo has since worked with Noria LFTZ Modular Refinery as Vice President, and under her purview were such responsibilities as: coordinating the overall activities of the facilities, overseeing the activities of the Commercial Unit of the Refinery; receiving and coordinating regular briefings from the Accounting Unit of the Refinery; receiving regular briefings from the Engineering Unit of the Refinery, and receiving regular reports from the Logistics Unit of the Refinery.
Now as MD/CEO of Norial Oil Limited, she directs and formulates policies for the overall operations of the company; ensures efficient and prudent management of the company’s resources; serves as the main point of communication between the Board of Directors and staff that are involved in corporate operations; negotiates loan facilities for the company with commercial banks for operational and business expansion, and oversees the operations of the company for efficient service delivery and optimum production by the staff.

Of Doshaa And Chriss Energy Limited, where she is responsible for defining and establishing overall strategic business plans, goals and objectives for the company; ensures consistent and quality service delivery to clients; ensures hiring of competent team of staff and creates an enabling environment that enables staff to employ their talents in achieving organizational goals; ensures the employment of cutting edge technology and innovativeness for the delivery of niche leadership in Nigerian oil and gas industry, and responsible for the overall coordination of the company’s operations and activities.
Sitting also atop the board of Noria Harmony Homes Limited, Oshinowo ensures overall smooth operations of the company; receives regular reports and oversees general operations of the company; plans and directs policies, objectives and initiatives of all departments; evaluates all loan facilities to ensure compliance with policies and processes; provides recommendations on all areas operations that need improvement, and ensures the hiring of good and capable hands for the company.
Oshinowo received Award of Recognition for Philanthropy by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), An award in appreciation of her educational support for indigent students, Award of Excellence in Women Advocacy by National Association of Women Lawyers, Ikorodu Chapter, An award in appreciation of her immense contributions towards supporting and championing the cause of womenfolk, Award of Merit for Philanthropy by National Union of Journalists (NUJ), An award in appreciation of her support for the orphans and less privilege people, among listless others.
