As part of his efforts to ensure dividend of Democracy is brought to the people of Odigbo & Ileoluji/okeigbo Federal constituency, Chief Abiye Adefisayo (The Baale Of Alagbede Community) today commissioned an industrial borehole at Orita Alagbade Community in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State on behalf of Rt. Honourable Mayowa Akinfolarin.
Speaking at the event the congressman said “water is life and as such it is highly imperative for the people of Orita Alagbede community community to enjoy clean and drinkable water. He hereby admonished them to utilise the water project judiciously and ensure they maintain it.
Speaking at the event, the Baale of Orita Alagbede community, Chief Abiye Adefisaye thanked the people’s representatives for his kind gestures towards the people of the Orita Alagbede community. He further said that he who give water, gives life. He said, water is a major problem of the said community, because many Alagbede community residents had dug well that has cost them thousands of naira with some gulping 14 rings or more yet they couldn’t get fresh and drinkable water. He assured that the project will be guarded jealously and will be maintained.
He however commissioned the project to the glory of God and use of mankind”.
He personally thanked Rt. Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin for his kindness towards Orita Alagbede community, he said the Lawmaker was the one that facilitated electrification of Orita Alagbede community, also donated a fuctional transformer to siad community, then when he was a member of Ondo State House of assembly .
Mrs Omowunmi Ayekomilogbon speak on behalf of the women of Orita Alagbede community. She said they were happy for what Igwe of Odigbo LG politics did for them.
Also Alhaji Odepindan said Rt. Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin has always being good to them. He made it known that the said community was the first among other communities in Ile oluji/ oke igbo/ Odigbo federal constituency to request a project from him despite the fact that they didn’t vote for him, and he hearken to the plights of the community without thinking of the community shortcoming from the past. He now assured the Lawmaker that come rain come sun, Orita Alagbede community would always support him in any of his future political ambition.
Other completed Boreholes to be commissioned soon includes one at Ileoluji and Okeigbo respectively and another one at Oni Tea of OniParaga ward.
