Muslim Clerics under the auspices of Nigeria Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has described the second term endorsement of a member representing Akoko North East and North West Federal Constituency in Ondo State, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, by Monarchs as a totem of victory and success ahead of the 2023 general election.
Over 28 Traditional Rulers in the constituency led by the Olukare of Ikare-Akoko, Oba. Akadri Momoh, had last week converged in the ancient of Town of Ikare and unanimously endorsed the re-election bid of the lawmaker.
Amplifying the Monarchs’ standpoint, the Islamic group adjudged that Bunmi Tunji-Ojo Popularly known as BTO had ostentatiously offered quality representation to his constituents through his inimitable performances.
Speaking on Wednesday at the second annual seminar organized for Imams and Alfas in the aforestated constituency, the Chairman of NSCIA, Akoko North East Chapter, Chief Abdul Ganiyu Bello, the Olodeke of Ekan Ikare, appreciated the Royal Fathers, saying BTO surpassed other legislators in the country through his unprecedented feats.
He said, “we appreciate the effort of the sponsor of this seminar, our own. Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, we pray that almighty Allah will continue to be with him and may make all his aspirations be achieved. We thank him for sponsoring this program last year and again this year”
“As Muslims, we believe in the words of Allah in the Quran Whoever does righteousness,
he does it for himself, and whoever does evil, it will be on him’.
BTO has done so well and it is very obvious to everyone”.
Also speaking, Olodeke’s counterpart in Akoko North East, Alhaji Bashiru Aminu, said “as the traditional rulers have made up their minds to endorse and affirm him to run for a second term, we want to assure him that we are people who follow our leaders for good”
“We are also throwing our support behind him for a second term for the development of Akoko and our people”, he declared.
