A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Commissioner for Natural Resources, Hon. Idowu Otetubi member has sent his good wishes to Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi popularly known as “Hostwell” by political associates on his appointment as Chairman of the interim management committee of Akure South Local government.
Otetubi also applauds the the appointment of other chieftains of the party as Chairman of local council development area within the state capital.
In a congratulatory message signed by him on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State capital, he implored them to work with their respective Vice Chairman to bring the much needed development to the third tier of government.
“Our local government are yearning for development and my admonition to those chosen, is to see their appointment as a call to service. The development of the local councils should take the centre stage in whatever they are doing”
“Governance at that level has been relegated to the background. They should think outside the box and remain fully committed, to give new energy to the well being of people at the grassroots.
Otetubi stated that he believes in the ability to those appointed to turn things around with their local government and local council development area.
“They are all responsible men and women of our great party whose grassroots appeal is second to none”, the statement read.
