AAUA: 200M MISAPPROPRIATION STORY, A TISSUE OF LIES

The attention of the management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has been drawn to the story being circulated on the social media with respect to the claim of misappropration of fund in the university. It wishes to correct the impression as follows:

That the current leadership of the university is one that has, since inception, thrived on financial discipline while it guides itself by probity and accountability.

That the lettering is uncalled for as it only seeks to delibrately cause disharmony within the university community by describing as “misappropation” a delay in the release of monthly deduction.

That the writing is equivocal, delibrate and treacherous since the writer only gathered tendentious sentences and blatantly failed throughout the body of the letter to substantiate the claim of misappropriation.

That management has since been releasing deductions to the unions as and when due until lately, and it is currently making frantic efforts to resolve the issues and release the outstanding deductions in no time.

That there is no such thing as “looming Industrial unrest” in the university as wrongly portrayed by the specious release.

The university authority however enjoins the university community and the general public to be wary of rumour peddlers who may want to compromise the existing peace in the university for selfish ends.
