Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has expressed shock over the death of Ikare born politician, Hon. Wale Ogunleye on Thursday.
While mourning the politician, Tunji-Ojo described him as a man who did not only love the people, but was also loved by them.
According to him, Ogunleye’s death was a great loss to Ikare Akoko and the generality of Akoko North East and Akoko North West Federal Constituency.
A statement by Tunji-Ojo’s Special Adviser on New Media, Alao Babatunde, said Ogunleye was a brother who respected and loved democracy.
His words, “The death of Hon. Wale Ogunleye is shocking and painful at the same time. We’ve lost a democrat. As a brother, we shared so many things in common especially the dream of making Akoko great.
“As we condole ourselves, we take solace in the understanding that he lived a good life to the benefit of all. I pray that God will grant his soul a deserving rest and the bereaved, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
