Many believe that getting a true selfless and progressive politician within the Nigeria political class is as hard as getting a Carmel to pass through the needles’ eye. This might be an exaggeration of the abysmal state of the nation’s political class, however it does not imply that we do not have any politician who fits the box, one that can be described a true selfless and progressive politician. A 21st century properly called Politician.
Standing exceptionally distinct and unique amongst the nation’s political elites is Prof. Adeolu Akande, PhD, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Nigerian Communications Commission. One who I have been able to work closely with, which gave me an opportunity to know more about him. With every confidence, I can attest to the fact that he is a brilliant individual with an amazing personality which endears people from all walks of life to him.
A selfless being who will always place the interest of others before his and would always go the extra mile to put smiles on the face of others, his personal intervention for me sometimes ago was the turning point when I battled the onslaught of fraudsters who dispossessed me of a hefty sum of money. Several others around me bear same testimony and accounts of his selfless being, highly generous in all sense as many people have been financially liberated through his various humble efforts.
As a highly influential member of our society, with the very best of good qualities, I have no doubt about his capacity to lead, he has what it takes to lead the people of Oyo State and serve in the capacity of the Governor. Figures they say do not lie, his antecedents are all for us to objectively examine. I celebrate this wonderful supporter of the Triangle News Media, we are proud to be associated with him and we hope that life presents him the opportunity and chance to serve humanity better
