Ejalabi Entrepreneurship Essay Competition: A Celebration of Innovation and Student Excellence in Akure
Akure, Ondo State – October 24, 2024: The Dome in Akure was buzzing with excitement today as students from various secondary schools in the city gathered to participate in the much-anticipated Ejalabi Entrepreneurship Essay Competition. The event, organized by the Ejalabi Initiative and led by Executive Officer and Convener, Mr. Owolabi Olorunfemi, brought together young minds to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas through essay writing.
Over 100 students from recognized secondary schools, specifically from Senior Secondary School (S.S.S) 1 to S.S.S 3, competed for the grand prize of N1,000,000. Each participant submitted a 1000-word essay focused on entrepreneurship, highlighting innovative solutions to real-world business challenges.
The essay competition, which aims to foster a spirit of creativity and business acumen among young Nigerians, has become a notable platform for nurturing future entrepreneurs. Mr. Olorunfemi, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in shaping Nigeria’s future and encouraged the students to keep pursuing excellence.
Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to network and share ideas with peers, teachers, and local business leaders who were in attendance. The judges, a panel of experienced educators and business professionals, assessed the essays based on originality, clarity of thought, and the practical application of the ideas presented.
The atmosphere was electric as the top finalists were announced, with many schools in Akure celebrating the academic prowess of their students.
The winner of the competition is expected to be announced later in the day, with the champion walking away with the prestigious N1,000,000 prize, alongside mentorship opportunities and other accolades.
