Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria – Monday, 7th October 2024 – The ancient city of Ijebu Ode is agog with excitement as the highly revered Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, prepares to confer the prestigious title of Otunba Ajana on the renowned legal practitioner, politician, successful businessman and philanthropist, Ademorin Kuye, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career. As the community prepares for this momentous occasion, excitement and anticipation fill the air.

Barring any last-minute changes, the countdown to the installation of Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye as the Otunba Ajana of Ijebu Ode has begun.

In just a few days, the federal lawmaker will embark on a journey of traditional rites and seclusion, paving the way for his grand coronation on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

The installation ceremony, slated for Saturday, 12th October, at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, promises to be a grand spectacle, attracting dignitaries from across Nigeria.

Ademorin Kuye’s selection for this esteemed title is a testament to his exemplary leadership, contributions to the development of Ijebu land, and dedication to the well-being of its people.

This nomination, endorsed by the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, acknowledges Hon. Ademorin Aliu Kuye’s outstanding leadership and dedication to the Ijebu land.

Hon. Ademorin Kuye, born 11 February 1963 in Lagos, is a legal practitioner and politician who was elected into the Green Chamber of the Nigerian National Assembly (Nigerian Federal House of Representatives) in 2019 and was re-elected in 2023, representing Shomolu Federal Constituency.

A member of All Progressive Congress (APC), he previously served at different times, as the Executive Chairman of Shomolu Local Government since 2013, and later, as the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Lagos State.

He was also the Senior Special Adviser to the Honorable Minister of Labour on industrial dispute and arbitration where he heads the Federal Government Arbitration panel that mediates disputes between the Federal Government and labour unions, the post he held till 2019.
