My Observations on PDP’s Commitment to the Edo Election
Let me share a concern that has been weighing on my mind regarding the current state of the PDP and their approach to the Edo election.
While traveling on British Airways yesterday, Saturday, 21st September, 2024 en route to an arbitration session and to address some personal matters in London, Femi Adekanbi was with me too and I’m sure you noticed this too as I was taken aback to see four PDP governors on board, leaving the country on the very day of such a crucial election for their party. This sight struck me as rather disconcerting, particularly given the significance of the electoral contest at hand.
It is troubling to witness leaders of a political party seemingly unconcern about the prospect of their party.
As a former National Secretary of Labour Party with cognate experience in party administration and intra parties affairs, such actions patently and inadvertently convey a lack of dedication to the party’s success, which matter in party and democratic dispensations.
I believe it is imperative for leaders to demonstrate their commitment, especially during pivotal moments.
