One Year of Legislative Strides
Hon. Christopher Ogunlana is the member representing Ese Odo/Irele Cconstituency in Ondo State House of Assembly. The grassroots politician, has dedicated the last one year of his legislative tenure to the upliftment, betterment and development of his constituents.
Hon. Ogunlana has been very outstanding on the floor of the state assembly in the last one year. He had sponsored a number of bills and equally moved some motions; in a quest to make a difference in the lives of his constituents.
Hon. Christopher had promptly hit the ground running with the appointment of 30 non-statutory aides. He has since ensure that the appointees’ salaries are regularly paid as and when due. He had likewise embarked on a project of financial empowerment for aged constituents across the ten wards of Ese Odo Constituency.
Also, the lawmaker had equally donated writing materials to all secondary schools and few primary schools in Ese-Odo. This is was in addition to his
quarterly financial grants to the Federation of Ese-Odo Local Government Students. The pace setting lawmaker, had equally helped a number of school leavers in Ese-Odo to secure admission into tertiary institutions of their choices.
It is also on record that Hon. Ogunlana deemed it necessary to distribute
Christmas palliative to traditional rulers, people with disabilities,.religion leaders, students, Party members and the non- indigenes in Ese-Odo.
He had also helped a number of hitherto unemployed youths in Ese-Odo tand Irele to secure employment in Ondo Stare Civil Service and Nigerian Immigration Service. More so, Hon. Ogunlana had alao thoughtfully helped a number of retirees in Ese-Odo to promptly access their gratituities.
Some market stalls in Ese-Odo had since been renovated by Hon. Christopher Ogunlana.He had also organized self- reliant training for fifty (50) youths in conjunction with Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa.
In the quest of Hon. Ogunlana to ensure peaceful coexistence in his constituency, he had brokered a peace deal between the people of Irele and Igbobini. This effort was made in his bid to resolve the age long land dispute in the area.
The lawmaker had also thought it necessary to donate a blood bank refrigerator to Irele General Hospital. In addition to this, was the donation of
50 customized bed spread to Irele Ieneral Hospital.
In only one year, the lawmaker had also helped a number of his constituents with the payment of their school fees in Law school. Hon. Ogunlana had likewise assisted some postgraduate constituents with the payments of their school fees. He had likewise went the extra mile to offset the hospital bills of some patients at Irele Ieneral Hospital.
In a manner that is unprecedented in the constituency of Hon. Ogunlana, he had donated solar light for the lightening of
Irewole Street in Ode Irele.
There is no doubt that Hon. Christopher Ogunlana has in the last one year, made a huge difference in the lives of his constituents. This is definitely the beginning of a better deal for his constituents.
