The erstwhile members of Ondo State Chapter of Association of Local Government of Nigeria(ALGON) on Monday congratulated Hon. Otito Atikase on his nomination as the State representative on the board of Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC).
In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Association, Hon. Augustine Oloruntogbe and Hon. Gbenga Olaniyi, described Atikase as a right peg in the right hole.
The statement read “ALGON heartily welcomes the nomination and appreciates the President for the honour done to us and the efforts of the Governor of the State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in ensuring party loyalist benefits maximally.
“Atikase, is a former council chairman, with a rich progressive ideology with a strong passion for the downtrodden.
“God has a way of rewarding men of excellence, hardwork and commitment, and we have absolute trust in Atikase to work in the overall interest of the Niger Delta region”
The ALGON leadership expressed excitement that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has hit the ground running with policies aimed at galvanizing the economy and advised the nominee to key into the developmental agenda of the President, operate an open door policy for their easy assessment.
The group said “The focus should be on service delivery with sacrifice and not self-seeking”
