2023: BTO, IPINSAGBA AND THE CHANCES OF THE APC
Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, the All Progressives Congress would most probably be getting the edge over other parties in Akoko North, East, and North West Federal Constituencies and the Ondo North senatorial district at large.
This is as a result of the presence of formidable stakeholders in the APC, who have a solid and ever-growing support base, one on which the APC would be largely depending to get the majority of votes in the presidential election.
For Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency of Ondo State, the formidable presence of Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, a lawmaker who confidently holds the support of the people, including that of the opposition owing to his impressive performance in the federal constituency, the APC, can heave a sigh of relief and go into the polls knowing fully well that the influence of BTO from the region would play a big influence in helping their presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during the presidential polls.
Currently, BTO, as he is fondly called, has a far-reaching influence, one that has made him one of the most loved and desired lawmakers in the state.
His success story within the last four years, which has seen him fully transform his federal constituency, is one that has continued to attract more supporters. He also has the firm support of traditional rulers in his region, who have continued to reaffirm their support for him.
Also, the candidate of the APC in the Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba, comes to the political space with a high number of supporters, which the party can truly bank on.
The emergence of Ipinsagba as the party’s senatorial candidate is one that has truly added more value and a larger fan base for the party, and this is a result of his ever-growing supporters.
More importantly, there’s a synergy between the camps of BTO and Ipinsagba, which creates a positive atmosphere for the Party ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Also, the APC comes to the presidential election with a candidate, Tinubu, who is not just popular but also formidable; his name is a household name in the country, and his track record speaks to his reliability and competence among the people.
