As part of its philanthropic gestures to the less privileged in the society, a group, ‘Liberal Platform Foundation’, on Friday presented food items and gifts to the Akure Motherless Babies Home.
Making the presentation to the motherless babies home at Idung Iyang on behalf of the group, the Chairman of the group in the state, Pastor Olu Akinlabi, said the move was part of its social responsibility drive towards the society.
He said, ” We are here to celebrate with these children because they have nobody to care for them. They are humans like us who lack love from others and that is why we are here to celebrate with them so as to give them a sense of belonging.
He also thanked God for giving the group the opportunity to extend a hand of fellowship to the motherless babies home, praying that God would continue to provide for them so to do more for the motherless home.
Items donated included packs of noodles, several tubers of yam, bags of rice among several others.
