The Member of House of Representatives, Akoko North East/ North West Federal Constituency, Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has congratulated Islamic faithfuls as they celebrate this year’s Eid El-Maulud.
In a statement by his Spokesperson, Alao Babatunde, the House Committee Chairman on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) noted that love and tolerance are lost when the people stop recognizing and celebrating their common humanity.
“This year’s occasion is another opportunity to further thank the Almighty Allah for his continued guidance and intervention in the challenges in our society.
“Prophet Muhammad preached and lived for peace and that is the virtue expected of every muslim, particularly in a diverse society such as ours.
“As we mark this auspicious occasion, I enjoin the muslim community to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Mohammed (SAW), for in doing so, we set the template for a peaceful co-existence” he stated.
