2023: Rasheed Elegbeleye Brilliant Stride; Deserves Continuity
When the electorate gives their mandate to political candidates to represent them, it’s expected that the candidate in return give the people the much desired dividends of democracy.
The People of Akoko North East once and the collective decision to elect Hon. Rasheed Elegbeleye as its lawmaker at the Ondo State House of Assembly, three years after, the expectations of the people has been met as the Ikare- Akoko born lawmaker keeps making the difference for his people.
He has not only ensured that governance is brought closer to the people, he has also brought to them various projects and initiatives which to a very great extent has continued to positively impact their lives.
Hon. Rasheed Elegbeleye while giving a brilliant and wonderful account of himself also ensured that these dividends of democracy are not just limited to a particular set of people, both the young and the old, male and female, people across the religious and political divide have all benefitted in one way or the other in his empowerment programs and initiatives.
Within the last three years, representing the people, he has facilitated the employment of 12 paramilitary officers across the local government, also He has ensured the recruitment of 4 military officer’s, 4 federal Civil Servant, 3 state service, 50 graduates.
He also facilitated the Oshore acquisition program which was affiliated with Obafemi Awolowo University in 2021.
Under his watch and representation, he ensured the renovations of Ikare Police Station in 2020 during rain storm in Ikare. Also, he facilitated the electrification of Ikare Soldier Quarters.
Hon. Elegbeleye also ensured the repair of 43 condemned boreholes across the local government. He also constructed 6 well water in ikare farm camp and in some part of the streets.
Other projects and initiatives facilitated by him are, donations of thousands of block’s and cements to Ikare Grammar school and the ground breaking of the school Hall which is still ongoing project; donation of bursary to hundreds of students across the local government; donation of sewing machines, grounding machines,hair dressing machines, and also the donation of health equipments to ward health centers as well as sports wears for youths amongst many others.
He has over these years proven himself accountable, trustworthy and capable, it is rest assured that if given the opportunity for continuity in the Ondo State House of Assembly, he would do more for he people.
