Former Military President of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida has personally enjoined Nigerians to opt for a Younger Candidates in the Next Presidential Election in Nigeria
He stated this in an interview on Arise TV while discussing the State of the Nation, according to him, for Nigeria to advance, it’s important that the nation get it right when it comes to electing its next president come 2023.
In his words, ” I have started visualising the good Nigerian Leader, he is a person who when he travels across any part of the nation and has a friend in all these parts, one who is economically sound, who is politically sound as well “
He also stated that he has seen one or two people who fits this description in Nigeria, while also adding that these people are in their Sixties.
Reactions from this has seen many Nigerians looking into the direction of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo whom the claimed is young unlike the other candidates like former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
