A businessman and a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), in Ondo State, Chief Gbenga Abiodun Eleduma has said that Nigeria will witness a rapid turn around and changes in the not too distant future in the economy.
Eleduma said this during a media interaction with newsmen on Saturday.
He stated that the Tinubu administration is banking on two key reforms of foreign exchange unification and fuel subsidy removal to fix the economy.
Recently , the federal government embarked on fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange reforms. Though painful, i am appealing to the conscience of Nigerians to see the reforms as one that will on the long run be a blessing to the nation.
“The reforms are historic, as we have saved trillions of naira that would have end up in private pockets”
“What the removal means is that the government will put the money to use in other sectors like education, health, and other infrastructural development”
This will strengthen the performance and outputs of the sectors the subsidy fund would be diverted to and that is a plus for the nation as a whole.
He urged Nigerians to support the developmental agenda of the present administration.
On the continued free fall of the naira, Eleduma admonished the people to protect the naira by buying locally manufactured goods.
