Chairman House Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Affairs Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has reiterated the commitment of the board to the advancement of the NDDC mandate areas.
The member of the house of representatives representing Akoko North East/West Federal Constituency stated this at the commissioning of the 66-flat residential quarters and administrative block for security personnel in Rivers State.
According to him, the project was necessitated as a result of the security and economic challenges in the Niger Delta region as it would go a long way to add value to the living conditions of security officers in the oil-rich region.
In his words, “A new era has heralded in the Niger Delta and I can re-assure you that the new NDDC is renewing the confidence of Niger Deltans in the government’s seriousness to bring development to the communities”
He also appreciated the people of Niger Delta for giving the NDDC board the opportunity to effect the much needed change in the mandate area. According to him,”You have all written your names on the good side of our collective history books. I am proud of your contributions and your achievements.”
“I can assure you all that with our continual synergy and cooperation, we will continue to collectively birth more developmental projects in the mandate areas.” he added
