Supreme Court Verdict: Agboola Ajayi Seeks Unity, Progress In The Best Interest Of PDP
On Friday -27th January,2023, the Supreme Court delivered its verdict on the suit instituted by the Distinguished Senator Nicholas Tofowomo to challenge the outcome of the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary election for Ondo South Senatorial District held on 23rd May, 2022, which produced the former Deputy Governor of the state, His Excellency Chief Alfred Agboola Ajayi as the flagbearer in the 2023 General Elections.
The former Deputy Governor of Ondo state and PDP candidate for Ondo South Senatorial District in the 2023 General Elections, His Excellency Chief Alfred Agboola Ajayi received the Supreme Court verdict delivered by Honourable Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim with delight and satisfaction.
He wishes to thank and appreciate all the party leaders, friends and well-wishers for their prayers, support and steadfastness throughout the legal tussle.
The judgement has reinvigorated his firm belief in the Nigeria judiciary particularly the Supreme Court as stickler to the rule of law. This has equally established the thoroughness and with which the party conducted its primary elections.
He therefore wishes to once again call on all aggrieved party members, stakeholders and especially the Distinguished Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Nicholas Tofowomo to act with good conscience in the best interest of our great party by accepting this final judgement with hindsight.
Obviously, our part has the golden opportunity of winning the 2023 General Elections overwhelmingly and succeed in the desire to recover Nigeria. All discerning members must resist vehemently and shun every external interference planted by those who have lost their electoral values to orchestrate and fan the ambers of discord and disunity within the party.
Invariably, he’s enthralled to passionately appeal to loyal party faithful to embrace peace, unity and work assiduously for the ultimate victory of the party at the poll.
