SEN. TOLU ODEBIYI FROWNS AT KILLINGS IN AYETORO BY MISGUIDED CUSTOMS OFFICIALS
The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Sen Tolu Odebiyi has condemned in strictest terms the unfortunate killings that occurred this morning at the Kikelomo area of Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State. While expressing his displeasure over the sad incident, the Senator said, “It is unfortunate that incident such as this could still be happening after all that had been done and said about border reforms, modern techniques and monitoring”. Sen.Odebiyi further said, “The Customs Offiicials in the area need to be guided and refrain from killing the youths. Nigeria is going through a trying time with the insecurity, COVID 19 pandemic and economic challenges already. The Customs should be professional for once. This should not be happening at all, with Christmas around the corner.” The Senator urges the Customs to refrain from causing unnecessary crisis in the border areas and use the remainder of this year to redouble efforts at improving border management in stead of killing our citizens.
