In our bid to help raise and train more women entrepreneurs to achieve self sufficiency and enhance their capacity, we partnered with Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan to encourage over 200 women in Ogun West Senatorial District to embrace soap/cosmetics making, poultry farming, sanitizer production and food packaging as a way to boost the local economy in our communities.
The beneficiaries, who are all women from Ipokia, Imeko, Ota and Ayetoro benefited from the training and empowerment initiatives.
At the week-long training which commenced on Monday, 18th October, 2021, participants were given starter packs, chickens, chicken feed and cages
Odusote Maria, Bankole Victoria, Idowu Faderera, Eunice Mulero and Arogundo Busayo, while speaking at the end of the training said, they thoroughly enjoyed the training because it was insightful. They noted that the instructors were engaging and friendly as they got to learn how to kick start their own businesses.
We have taken steps to engage the women of the senatorial district frequently through empowerment and skills acquisition programmes.
