In order to help boost food production for smallholder farmers, the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi has distributed several bags of fertilizers, seedlings and other farm inputs to support hardworking local farmers in Ogun West.
The Senator who is also a strong member of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development noted that the palliative for smallholder farmers/growers will expand opportunities and improve productivity for local farmers in the District.
One of the beneficiaries at the programme, Mr. Akiode who couldn’t hide his joy, commended the Senator for coming to the aid of the farmers.
“We want to thank the Senator for providing the farmers with all these farm inputs especially at a time when the prices of fertilizers have gone beyond the reach of an average farmer. Today, through the efforts of our Senator, we can all smile home with our Fertilizers”.
“It is an indication that the Senator is committed to the overall welfare of the people”.
