Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has been described as a visionary leader who has put smiles on the faces of individuals through his various developmental projects across the state.
The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun Bamidele made the description when the Governor Paid a scheduled visit to the Assembly Complex on Tuesday, 23rd of August, 2022.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of other lawmakers to the Governor for providing a conducive and befiting hallowed Chamber, Oleyelogun explained that the new Chamber can now compete favourably with the best in the country.
‘’Mr Governor, we appreciate God for today. It is very easy for us now to bring our colleagues from other states to Ondo State. Before now, the hallowed chamber was nothing to write home about”,he said.
The Speaker, who was delighted over the face-lift giving to the complex, said history would not forget the Governor for the turn-around witnessed by the complex.
Earlier,the Governor who expressed displeasure over the sorry state of the complex before now, explained that it had witnessed a total neglect by successive government since the last forty years of its construction.
According to him, apart from the
reconstruction of the Assembly Complex,the hallowed chamber has also been equipped with modern facilities and gadgets needed for the legislative functions of Lawmakers.
‘’Everything including the offices and the gallery has been put in a better shape, and one certain thing is that, the members of the 9th Assembly will be very proud and beat their chests that it is done in their time”,he added.
He later, assured that he would not relent in oars to provide conducive working environment for the lawmakers as this would enable them perform their duties effectively.
