A group of supporters of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the Ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo state, under the auspices of the ‘Ondo State Progressive And Tinubu Support Group’ have expressed their joy and appreciation to the president over the appointment of former lawmaker, Honourable Kolade Victor Akinjo into the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Akinjo’s appointment, was on Tuesday announced as a member of the NDDC board representing Ondo state, through a statement signed by Mr. Ajuri Ngelale Special Adviser on media to the President.
The group, in a statement signed by its state chairman, Amb. Ojo Bright I ENIAFE on Thursday said the group members across the entire Ilaje nation, and Ese-Odo rejoiced over the developmental.
He added that it is a valid affirmation that the people stand firmly with Akinjo. He also said there is no doubt that this is one appointment showing the readiness of Mr. President to deliver on his campaign promises.

It is with joy that the news of the appointment of Hon. Kolade Akinjo herald the air in Ondo State. It is no coincidence that our members across the entire Ilaje nation, and Ese-Odo rejoiced. This is a valid affirmation that the people stand firmly with you. No doubt this is one appointment showing the readiness of Mr. President to deliver on his campaign promises.
To this end, our distinguished Ondo State Commissioner representative to NDDC board, Hon. Kolade Akinjo, you have the popular support and will of the people to deliver
First and foremost, allow me to express my utmost admiration for your dedication and hard work in the public service sector. Even while you represented Ese-Odo/Ilaje federal constituency, you never discriminated based on party. Rather, you concentrated on the delivery of services. I am sure this forms one of the yardstick for your appointment into the NDDC board. Your vast experience and expertise in public service domains have undoubtedly played a pivotal role in securing this well-deserved position. It is a testament to your commitment to making positive changes and contributing to the overall development of our country.
Your passion for public service, entrepreneurship, agriculture, business, import, and export shines through brightly and had reflected in your various representation. This is what is needed most today in the NDDC board.
It is our belief that you will contribute meaningfully in your new found assignment
We encourage you to, as usual, bring all parties together and deliver on the mandate graciously given to you by Mr. President.
We have no doubt that your vision, innovative thinking, and sound acumen will bring about substantial progress and transformation in the mandate area under your purview.
As Ondo State representative in the NDDC, you now hold a position of great responsibility and influence. We charge you to represent Ondo State outstandingly. The NDDC is a critical pillar of our country’s development, and I am confident that under your representation of Ondo State, it will thrive and flourish even further to the benefits of the indigens of the mandate area, Ondo State and Nigeria at large. Your expertise and dedication will undoubtedly drive policy reforms, foster growth, and ensure development in the mandate areas as well as Ondo State in general.
Equally, we are disturbed by the press statement of our State Party Chairman, who couldn’t provide sufficient votes to stamp the foot of our party in Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency during this last election as worrisome. Mr. Chairman must recall that when he left a lot of support groups and progressives in the cold while allocating resources to close associates, is on record.
We appeal to those throwing stones, to look inward and tell us what personal sacrifices they made, other than spend campaign money for personal aggradizement.
Progressive who genuinely worked for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, under the sun and in the rain, are in total support of the decision of Mr. President. We reject in totality the whitewash praise ascribe to our president in the press statement. More so, the perpetrators are advised to seek caution as the Abuja gimmicks played by those claiming to have worked more for Tinubu now and seeking gratification is in the public domain.
It is also important to notify well teeming indigenes of Ondo State, that the wealth of experience of Hon. Kolade Akinjo, as a former member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Ese-Odo/Ilaje federal constituency is crucial to the task at hand. It further demonstrates Hon. Akinjo’s versatility and ability to tackle multifaceted challenges head-on. Your presence in this board will undoubtedly contribute to effective decision-making processes, enabling sustainable development and progress across boards.
