Ondo 2024: Group drums support for Mayowa Akinfolarin
A socio-political group, the Ondo Redemption Group, has reiterated the need for the people of Ondo State to support Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, as the next governor of the State.
In a press statement issued by the group through its spokesman on Saturday, Comrade Adeniyi Femi, the group stated that the cure political situation in Ondo State requires the emergence of a capable hand to steer the state to a progressive path.
The group stated that the emergence of an experienced politician like Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin will no doubt change the narrative for the better in the state.
“Mayowa Akinfolarin’s remarkable credentials and three-decade-long involvement in public and political administration have solidified his candidacy. His extensive experience, visionary outlook, and unwavering commitment make him a promising leader for Ondo State.
“Akinfolarin’s leadership qualities are highlighted by his exceptional communication skills, effective time management, and keen social awareness. He possesses a profound understanding of parliamentary procedures, adept committee management, and a history of legislative excellence.
“His versatility as a leader is evident in his ability to engage in political negotiations, mediate disputes, and analyze complex situations. Furthermore, his dedication to teamwork and problem-solving underscores his readiness to tackle challenges in any capacity,” the group stated.
The group also explained that, “his (Mayowa ), dedication to a comprehensive transformation of the state has garnered substantial support from influential figures and various interest groups. Notable individuals across the Ondo State, are already orchestrating support for Akinfolarin.
“His influence within the All Progressives Congress is significant, spanning from the 9th Assembly to the 10th Assembly. As the deputy speaker for two terms, he played a pivotal role in ensuring the party’s dominance and the substantial increase in seats won by the party. Under his leadership, the House of Representatives achieved remarkable success.
“Mayowa Akinfolarin’s outstanding track record and achievements speak volumes about his capability to lead Ondo State to new heights. As the 2024 Governorship election approaches, the people of Ondo State have a compelling candidate in Akinfolarin, a visionary leader poised to bring about positive transformation in the state”, it added.
