OGBAGI-AKOKO APC LEADERS REJECT PDP DECAMPEES BACKDOOR ACCEPTANCE.
…Stop Dragging Gov.Aiyedatiwa’s name in the mud.

The Leadership of the All Progressives Congress,APC in Ogbagi Akoko Ward ‘6’ outrightly reject the new sets of People’s Democratic Party, PDP decampees led by Bobade Gboyega from joining the party.

The Ogbagi APC Leaders vent their anger against the undemocratic and shabby manners some factional leaders went ahead dragging Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s name in the mud to hoodwink APC members into accepting Bobade whom they reffered to as the notorious PDP thug popularly known as Danger into the party.

The APC Leaders across the 25 polling units speak with one voice condemning in its entirety the much publicized claim by the faction of the party declaring their acceptance of “Danger” into the party as unacceptable, null and void.

The APC Leaders at Ogbagi on Thursday morning during a “Fact Finding and Reconciliation Mission” initiated by Honourable Bode Obanla, Senior Special Assistant, SSA to Gov.Aiyedatiwa on Community Engagement (Ondo North) could not hide their grievance over the matter.

They confronted Obanla and his entourage from the Office of the Senior Special Assistant On Community Engagement, OSSACE from Akure that they will not accept “Danger” into APC.

Obanla told the APC Leaders that he and his Team are in Ogbagi- Akoko to convey the message of Gov. Aiyedatiwa to Ogbagi and other Communities in Ondo North for their overwhelming votes given to him as the APC candidate during the last election.

He said he is also at Ogbagi for an oversight function to initiate a reconciliatory engagement to understudy the remote cause of the crises that led to the brutal attack on Hon.Eli Awe, Akoko North West Local Government Director General, (DG )Aiyedatiwa Campaign.

Obanla expressed concern about the politically induced crises and condemn the attack on Awe that can not be swept under the carpet.

Saying the attack on Awe and other APC Leaders is unwarranted; that Awe who is not just an ordinary party member but a revered community leader and a serving SSA to Gov.Aiyedatiwa.

He allayed the fear over the disaffection of the APC members over the wrong signal and negative perception that backdoor acceptance of the PDP decampees has caused.

“Let me reassure you that Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is not only a peace loving governor but a man whose blood is flowing with kindness rather than being portrayed as an apathetic person “

Earlier in the day, Obanla and his Team had visited the royal father,Oba Victor Olasehinde Adetona, the Owa of Ogbagi-Akoko who also expressed his satisfaction for the reconciliatory move.

Owa of Ogbagi-Akoko commend Obanla for his various initiatives towards the peace, unity, development and stability of Akokoland as well as resolving the Ogbagi APC Party crises.

He admonished Obanla to expedite action towards resolving the unfortunate crises that erupted in his community during the last governorship election.

Oba Adetona said the Owa in Council was unable to resolve the crises since it has a political undertone which can only be resolved through political understanding.

From Ogbagi, Obanla and his entourage went to Okeagbe-Akoko to address the Local Government Leaders meeting where he assured that the perpetrators of the dastard act of attacking APC Leaders at Ogbagi will be reprimanded.

He also assured that,”in as much as the door to APC as a party is open to all and sundry, but not to perpetrators of dastard acts trying to use decamping to evade punishment.

These culprits must be brought to book and the full weight of the law must be allowed to take its toll on them to serve as deterrent to others.

He concluded by aligning with the APC Local government chairman and members that the APC is a progressive party guided by high moral democratic ethos which made it difficult for the PDP decampees to join the party through the right channel not backdoor”
