Man, 43, Fleeces US-based Nigerian Lady of Cash, Vehicles, Landed Property Worth Millions of Naira.

The aspiration of a United States-based Nigerian lady to invest in farming back home has become a source of regrets for her, following her fall to the antics of a man who swindled her of money and property worth several millions of naira.
The supect, 43-year-old Sylvester Ehiarinmian was paraded before journalists at the Zone Police Command headquarter, Onikan, Lagos by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in-charge of the Zone, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, on Wednesday, September, 16, 2020.
According to the AIG, the suspect was introduced to the victim (name withheld) by one Miss. Mary Okpe, 40, (currently at large), to provide security for her to and from the farm, on the pretence that Ehiarinmian owns a security outfit.
At a point, the police boss said, Ehiarinmian made love advances to the victim, promising to marry her.
The lady, it was gathered, was consequently engrossed in love that she fell to the hypnosis of the suspect who fraudulently dispossessed her, both cash and property.
Iliyasu quoted the victim of alleging the conman of obtaining the sum 15,000 US Dollar from her, to procure visa for the victim’s sister, another 10,000 US Dollars he proposed to purchase carpets for an office they both agreed to operate and N40 million for the establishment of a medical laboratory.
In Iliyasu’s words: “Sylvester made a love advance to her, despite being married with children, and promised marrying her. Naively, the lady swam into the fraudulent Sylvesters’s net and was defrauded neatly. When the lid was blown out her eyes, the lady forwarded a petition to my office and I instructed the Zonal Tactical/Monitoring Unit to go after the suspect”
Ehiarinmian was arrested and the following items, belonging to the victim, were recovered. They are: two Toyota Sienna Space buses (05/07 models) marked RBC 564 BB and YAB 101AZ; two unregistered Toyota Sienna Space buses (05/07 models); Toyota Highlander (01 model), with Registration No. YAB 768 SD; bunch of keys of a storey building comprising two bedroom flats and two self contained apartments.
Also recovered were one bedroom flats with boy quarters in Apo Resettlement Abuja; documents in respect of a ‘900sqm land, located in Wasa District, Abuja along with Certificate of Occupancy (C of O); documents of a 900sqm land, situated in Angwan Tiv area of Apo Resettlement Area, Abuja; a 900kVA generating set and Nine copies of Deeds of Assignments belonging in respect of a property in Apo, Abuja.
four Sienna Space buses, a Toyota Highlander SUV Jeep and landed properties, comprising a storey building, an undeveloped plot of land, both in Apo area of Abuja and another two plots in Wasa area of Abuja.
Also recovered were, all belonging to the victim, were recovered from the suspect. Yet to be recovered from him are a Mikano Generating set, two duplexes in South Africa, the sum of $15,000 US Dollars he fraudulently obtained from her, to procure visa for the victim’s sister, another $10,000 US Dollars he proposed to purchase carpets for an office they both agreed to operate and N40million for the establishment of a medical laboratory.
