LET’S PUT OUT THIS FIRE 🔥
-Hon Borokini
Over few days, there has been a change in the trend of activities across states in our dear country as concerned youths have deserted the comfort of their homes and took to the streets to peacefully protest against police brutality and other unpalatable occurrences and this has cut across every nook and cranny .
The Protest which was organised by concerned youths with holy intention of reforming decadence in the system especially the unethical practices of security operatives in the country has however been hijacked by unscrupulous elements and under this guise wrecking havocs, destroying private and government valuables and causing unrest in the state.
As you all know we’re in this together as I have shown my concern for the youths out there which are a major fraction of those I am Representing by participating both in the Physical protest and also lending my voice through my social media platforms and engaging leaders of the land.
With the latest trend of hooliganism and vandalisation being experienced presently in the state and in other parts of the country, I’m pleading with every youth out there not to take laws into their hands neither be caught in unholy places at this critical time as this will only be a mockery of what the peaceful protest was all about albinitio.
I plead we stay calm, avoid troubled areas and obey the curfew imposed by the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as the state takes further proactive steps in restoring peace, orderliness and providing solutions to the complaints earlier registered by the youths during the protest.
I strongly believe we shall overcome this and our sacrifices will never go down the drain.
Let’s give peace a chance so that our fallen heroes won’t die in vain.
I remain yours in the struggle,
Simeon Toluwani Borokini,
MHA, Akure South Constituency 1.
