For the people of Ilaje Constituency 1, the emergence and continued representation of Prince Abayomi Babatunde Akinruntan is one that has given them a new lease of hope.
One which has given them a bountiful reap of Democratic dividends over the last few years. Talk about the constant empowerment of the people in the constituency. Akinruntan has actively ensured this by constantly putting in place structures which will financially liberate the people.
He has consciously prioritized the development of the youthful populace by ensuring that they are viably and productively engaged. Through the available resources, he has made sure that he facilitates the provisions of job opportunities for the youth.
His development pose cuts across both the old and the young, male and female. Using his wealth of experience as a good manager of human resources, he has continued to actively use the available resources at his disposal to herald a new reality for his people.
Prince Akinruntan is one of the few Nigerians who believes in assisting the public and the less privileged in particular and sees it as an exciting obligation. His love for society gave birth to the establishment of The ABA Foundation, which has been a huge source of blessing to the people of Ilaje Constituency 1.

His years in the Ondo State House of Assembly have seen him hold several responsibilities.
As a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, he has been Chairman, House Committee on Works; Chairman & Vice Chairman, House Committee on OSOPADEC Member of the House Committee on Sport/Youth and Information; member of the House Committee on Judiciary and Public Petition; member of the House Committee on Petroleum and Environment; and member of the House Committee on Tender.He is currently the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Utility & Transport and the Chairman of the House Committee on Cabinet, General Administration, and Special Duties, respectively.
Being a participatory and effective lawmaker, he contributed to the deliberations and successful passage of the bills listed below:
A law to provide for the establishment, operations, and functions of the Orange FM station and for other matters incidental thereto or connected therewith.
A law to establish the Ondo State Agency for Road Maintenance and Construction and provide for its operation, structure, and for other purposes connected therewith.
A law to provide appropriate punishment for the acts of kidnapping and abduction in Ondo State; matters related and incidental thereto.
Akinruntan has continued to prove his mettle and usefulness to the people at the Ondo State House of Assembly. His representation has brought to his people a renewed hope that quality representation is possible when you have the right individuals.
