Glamour as Tinubu, Akande, Ooni, Govs, Others grace Akeredolu’s daughter’s traditional wedding
The ancient town of Owo, headquarters of Owo local government area in Ondo State was agog on Saturday, 14th September, 2019 as the Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, and his wife, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu gave their daughter’s hand in marriage.
Dignitaries including politicians, captain of Industries, academics, religious and traditional leaders as well as top government functionaries were present at the colorful ceremony.
Former Lagos State Governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande attended the engagement ceremony held at the residence of Governor Akeredolu in the morning .
Others who attended the traditional wedding include: Former Governor of Ogun State and serving senator, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and his Oyo State counterpart, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Other prominent personalities present include, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Gboyega Oyetola , Minister of State Labour and Employment, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora, first Ladies of Edo State, Betsy Obaseki; Lagos State, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and her Nasarawa State, Hajia Silifat A. A Sule.
Others are: Immediate past Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, immediate past governor of Adamawa, Bala James Ngilari, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Egunwusi Eniola Ojaja II, Chairman Ondo State Council of Obas, the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Frederick Akinruntan, Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, Members of Ondo State Executive council , the State Legislators; helmsmen in the eighteen Local Government Councils in the state and several other top government functionaries.
The event was also witnessed by others dignitaries including: Dr Wale Babalakin; Chief Niyi Akintola, SAN , Yusuf Alli, SAN, Virtually the Honourable Justices of the Ondo State Judiciary led by Chief Judge ,Honourable Justice Olutoyin Akeredolu and the President of the Industrial Court , Hon Justice Babatunde Adejumo & wife .
The event started with engagement ceremony and guests were later treated to a reception anchored by popular Comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka and foremost Nigerian dancehall star, sound sultan.
The couples Teniola and Olatunde Oyeyiola who could not hide their joy were full of gratitude to God and well meaning Nigerians that graced the event.
