The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi has said that his agenda to lift a sizeable proportion of women and youths out of poverty will continue to spread across all the (5) five Local Government Areas that make up the Senatorial District.
Speaking through Alhaji Yusuff Adegbemiro, his Director General who represented the Ogun West Senator at the Empowerment programme for youths and women, held at his country home in Iboro, Yewa North Local Government, said that, the empowerment was borne out of his desire to boost the economic status of his constituents in line with his campaign promises. Empowerment Items distributed at the event included several- 2.5 KVA capacity generators, Grain Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Hair Clippers, Hair Dryers, Camping Gas, Mobile Phones as well as many Industrial Fans.
Hundreds of youths and women drawn from across the (5) five Local Government Areas of Ogun West Senatorial District, benefited from various empowerment materials to enhance their social and economic status. While addressing the youths who converged on his country home, Sen. Odebiyi noted that a mega empowerment programme is slated for first quarter of next year, even as he said that all interest is being considered.
Many beneficiaries at the event commended the Senator for improving the economic and social wellbeing of the people and achieving the lofty objectives of providing good governance for every segment of the Senatorial District.
