Designation of Polling Units in Ese Odo and Ilaje as flashpoints for rigging by INEC reckless- Hon. Kingsley Kuku
Even as the October 10 Gubernatorial election in Ondo State draws near, the recent categorization and designation of 62 polling units as flashpoints for rigging in Ese Odo and Ilaje Local Government areas has received outright condemnation from the public especially the people of the local government areas.
In a statement made by Dr. Kingsley Kuku, he explained that the decision of INEC to embark on such decision is totally reckless and uncalled for.
According to him,” Ese-Odo and Ilaje have been peaceful, despite the incessant security attacks on the people of the communities; the territory has always been calm and peaceful.
He further added that the political attacks and unrest incidents have only taken place in Akure, Owo and other cities excluding Ese-Odo and Ilaje.
While condemning the decision by INEC, he enjoined the electoral body to seek to the dispatch of their duties faithfully and in a transparent manner he also admonished the people to vote and embrace peace.
