#COVID-19: IFE OYEDELE DONATES FOOD ITEMS, CASH TO 18,000 ONDO STATE HOUSEHOLDS
The leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, Ife Oyedele (FNSE), has rolled out economic stimulus packages worth millions of Naira in food items and cash to the people of Ondo State to cushion the harsh effect of the present lockdown ordered by the Government to stem the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, presently ravaging the world.
The governorship aspirant said he will be distributing various food items and cash to over 1,000 widows and the most vulnerable families in each of the the 18 Local Government Areas of the State.
Oyedele, in a statement on Tuesday, in Abuja, said the move became necessary with the present reality which has subjected many households to untold hardship resulting from the compulsory lockdown. He said the difficult financial challenges of the society are further compounded by the present pandemic.
“There are a lot of households that survive on daily earnings, I feel concerned to imagine what their fate is at this time and wish I could solve all of their problems. Unfortunately that is not possible. But I know this our modest gesture will bring succour to the affected homes.
“I trust that God will keep everyone safe in this perilous times when we are confronted with an invisible enemy called Covid-19,” Oyedele said.
He enjoined the people of the State to continue to observe all precautionary measures as advised by healthcare experts and also ensure proper hygiene to stay safe from the dreaded virus.
