Barrister Morayo Lebi: Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. ..
Barrister Morayo Lebi once again demonstrated today that you don’t necessarily need to be in government to show compassion to and solidarity with the vulnerable members of the society.
As measure to mitigate the suffering of the people caused by the lockdown to combat COVID-19, Barrister Morayo Lebi arranged some Financial palliatives of #5,000 each to over one hundred and twenty indigent and other vulnerable members from Ondo South, ( comprises of six local government areas) who gathered together today at Okitipupa, his country home. Additional #500, 000 has also been earmarked for some specific (100 people that will be given #5000 each). They are identified widows, orphans and aged members of the community. This is certainly devoid of political motives, but borne out of philanthropic disposition and genuine empathy towards the poor.
Compare to what some government officials have been given out to the people in the name of ” palliatives”, where some streets are given mere loaves of bread and some miserable cups of Rice, BML gestures today deserves commendation and the beneficiaries, who were represented by some of their trusted leaders, were profuse in their appreciation to their benefactor, who has proven on several occasions, that, he is always ready to support them.
With BML, it’s always : Better My Life.
