Asiwaju Mandate Group Inaugurates MORE Local Government Executives and Ward Coordinators, Canvases MASSIVE Support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Victory
The Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) in Ondo State has taken further significant steps to mobilise grassroots support for the APC ahead of the November 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State. The group, which is founded by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has also inaugurated local government executives and ward coordinators across all the 18 local governments in the State. These events have marked the group’s formal endorsement of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the November election.
The series of ceremonies began on Monday in Idanre local government and progressed through Ifedore, Akure-North, and Akoko North-West, covering Ondo Central and North Senatorial Districts. On Tuesday, inauguration and voter sensitisation shifted to Ondo South Senatorial Districts, with inaugurations in Odigbo, Irele, Ilaje, and Okitipupa local government areas.
Addressing the gathering at these events, Evangelist Olumuyiwa Asagunla, the Director-General of AMG, delivered a powerful message on behalf of Dr. Tunji-Ojo. He emphasised the importance of AMG’s grassroots mobilization to secure victory for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in November, while also promoting the transformative vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We are charged with mobilizing our communities to ensure the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa. This victory is not just about the governorship; it’s about endorsing the long-term benefits promised by President Tinubu’s policies, which will have a lasting impact on the development of our people and society at large.”
The newly inaugurated executives and ward coordinators in all the local government areas pledged to spread the group’s message across their communities as directed by its national leader with the assurance of massive support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory in the November governorship election.
Hon. Asagunla stressed the responsibility bestowed upon the newly inaugurated leaders, urging them to serve as good ambassadors of the AMG with dedication and integrity. “You are ambassadors of our mandate, and your duties must be executed with the utmost responsibility. Be rest assured that you have the full support of the Hon. Minister of Interior at all times,” he said.
The swearing-in of the new executives was administered by Hon. Barr Pelemo Ade Samuel, Director of Legal Services for AMG. He urged the local government leadership and coordinators to align with AMG’s mission to rally support for Governor Aiyedatiwa and extend the group’s reach to every corner of the State.
The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including
Hon Akinkunmi Robert, Odigbo local government Coordinator, former House of Assembly member and Deputy Director-General South, Hon. Iwalewa Afolabi, and Hon. Ikuopenikan Olumide, coordinator of Ilaje local governments.
Others include the APC women leader and in Irele Local government, Chief Mrs. Titilola Omosowo, Vice Chairman,
MRS Irinyemi, Secretary, Chief Akinfe Akinmarin, Publicity Secretary, Hon. Gbemi Akingbelure, Special Assistant to the Governor, Dr. Suwa Akinbolade. Also present were, Mr. Ogunji Olugbenga Anthony, Evang. Obafemi Mese, Elder Robert Iluyemi JP, among others.
