Alhaji Fatai Balogun, Pride of his People
At any point, when and where the theme of contributors to human and community development, certain people’s names naturally pop up on the mind; one of such great citizens who have done so much and so well in this all important regard is the Akoko born sterling Nigeria citizen, Alhaji Fatai Balogun, a personality who has consistently performed outstandingly particularly in contributions towards the development of his birthplace, Ikare Akoko and the people of same community.
As a distinguished Community leader with remarkable impacts, Fatai Balogun who has paid his dues, busy building minds and men with pleasure, is highly experienced in finances account and human manager with a record of excellence in all areas of finance and treasury management, accounting project and human management; A visionary with diverse industry, change agent who builds leaders.
Balogun, a devout Moslem and avid reader of the Holy Quran, is a marked philanthropist who travels the extra miles in making life better for the less privileged and facilitating other lofty activities that can help to improve on living conditions of the people. Always untiring in meeting people and affecting them pleasantly, yet himself as a wonderful father and friend to his family.
Great Fatai was born into the family of Alhaji Falowo Yakubi Balogun of Oyimbo, Ikare akoko, Ondo State, on 1st of August 1965, had his elementary education at AUD school,1976; Oloroke Grammar School Oke-Igbo,1977; Comprehensive high school ikare in 1978. He got admitted to Ondo State Polytechnic Owo, Ondo State where he earned Ordinary National Diploma, OND, and proceeded afterwards to the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, for his Higher National Diploma, HDN, in accounting.
The young articulate and seasoned Accountant also trained the at ondo State University in 1997 for his Post Graduate Diploma (FGDFM) which paved way for his Master Degree Program in the same University. Balogun bagged a Bsc degree in Accounting from the Ambrose Ali university, Ekpoma, Edo state, Masters in Administration, (MBA) Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
A distinguished member of many professional bodies , he has also been at the forefront of professional groups, including the Nigeria institute of management (NIM) Nigeria institute of certified economics (CINE), Nigeria institute of certified accountants (ICPAN), Association of national accountant of Nigeria (ANAN) and much more.
Alhaji BALOGUN joined NACB in 1990 as account supervisor and rose to the position of head accounts before he finally bowed out of the banking industry he served in various locations across the country including Akure, Kabba, illorin, and much more. He later joined the OSOPADEC ondo state oil producing area development commissions in July 2002, where he is presently serving as the Deputy Director account.
Balogun is the present Adinni of oyinmo ikare akoko and active member Islamic organization. He is the governor general of Qudiriyat of Nigeria Akure, who has received so many awards of excellence from different bodies including NAOS, NACAS among many others as evidences and testimonials to the many ways he has contributed to humanity and progressivism.
A humane and caring leader of his people, Balogun deserves the loyalty of his people and constituents so that his type can be better positioned to further advance the progress of the citizens, especially his, place, Ikare Akoko.
