Energizing the Electorates: Hon. (Dr) Adelegbe Timehin’s Mega Empowerment Initiative Sparks Hope in Owo/Ose Federal Constituency
As the November governorship election in Ondo State approaches, the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency is buzzing with excitement and gratitude. Hon. (Dr) Adelegbe Timehin, the Member Representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, has initiated a transformative four-day mega empowerment program that promises to lift the lives of hundreds across the community. This ambitious project includes cash grants, empowerment materials, and critical skill-training programs designed to support self-sufficiency and foster resilience among locals. The initiative not only provides much-needed resources but also serves as an opportunity for Hon. Adelegbe to rally support for Ondo State’s Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in the upcoming election.
The event kicks off on Friday, November 1, 2024, with soap-making training sessions at New Town Hall, Ifon. Participants will receive starter packs and cash grants to support their entrepreneurial journey. By midday, St. Paul Anglican Primary School will host the distribution of empowerment materials and cash gifts to market women, artisans, and non-indigenes. With over 300 expected to benefit from the soap-making training and 450 from the empowerment materials, Day 1 sets a high standard for community support and engagement.
Day 2 on Saturday, November 2, 2024, brings the program to Idoani, where more beneficiaries will undergo soap-making training and receive financial support at Idoani Town Hall. Following this, at the Market Square, another 300 individuals, including market women, artisans, and non-indigenes, will receive empowerment materials. The turnout underscores Hon. Adelegbe’s commitment to reaching all corners of his constituency, with 150 participants expected at the training session and 300 benefiting from empowerment materials.
The empowerment activities continue on Monday, November 4, 2024, in Owo at Iyere Town Hall. Another round of soap-making training will support 200 locals, while Arujajoye Hall will host the distribution of materials and cash gifts for 500 individuals, marking the day as one of the most impactful in the program.
The grand finale takes place on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Owo Township Stadium. Branded as a “Mega Empowerment” day, it anticipates 800 beneficiaries from across the constituency. The closing ceremony will not only distribute more resources but will also feature Hon. Adelegbe’s message of encouragement for voters to support Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the upcoming election.
