A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Hon Femi Adekanmbi has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving Ondo State a substantive Minister.
Olubunmi Tunji- Ojo, an erstwhile lawmaker representing Akoko Northeast/Northwest federal constituency was announced yesterday as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy by President Tinubu.
In a statement, Adekanmbi expressed appreciation to Tinubu for acceding to the request of the state for a substantive minister and for finding Tunji- Ojo worthy to help actualize his dream of renewed hope and a better Nigeria.
Adekanmbi recalled that the Ondo State for eight years under President Muhammadu Buhari was given a Minister of State portfolio making it inferior in the committee of APC State.
However, Adekambi said the appointment of Bunmi Tunji Ojo as a substantive minister and giving a key ministry that would dry the blue economy showed that Ondo State is reckoned with among its peers.
The APC chieftain said given the track record of the minister, the state and the country would benefit from the appointment.
Adekambi said he was sure President Tinubu has Olokola Free Trade Zone, Ondo Sea Port, and others in mind when he assigned the blue economy to the indigene of the state.
