A Call to Nigerian Youths: Uniting Against Cultism for a Brighter Future
Fellow Nigerian Youths,
Today, 7th of July 2024, I want to address a pressing issue that has been affecting our society and the future of our nation – cultism. As young people, we are the hope and the future of Nigeria, but the scourge of cultism is threatening to derail our potential and aspirations.
Cultism has brought about a wave of violence, fear, and loss of lives among our peers. Many youths have been lured into these destructive groups, leading to tragic consequences. Lives have been lost, families shattered, and communities torn apart by the senseless violence perpetuated by cult activities.
It is crucial for us, the Nigerian youth, to stand together and say no to cultism. We must resist the pressures and temptations that may lead us down the path of violence and destruction. Instead, let us focus on building ourselves up through education, hard work, and positive engagement with our communities.
We must hold our leaders and institutions accountable for providing us with the necessary support and opportunities to thrive. We deserve access to quality education, job opportunities, and a safe environment in which to grow and succeed.
Let us come together to support each other, to encourage one another to make positive choices, and to stand united against the forces that seek to divide us through cultism and violence.
Together, we can create a better future for ourselves and for Nigeria. Let us work towards a society where our talents and potential can flourish, free from the shackles of cultism and violence.
The power to change our future lies within us. Let us choose the path of peace, progress, and unity.
Yours sincerely,
Oluyemi Fasipe (@YemieFash)
